I was reading a very intersting article about the subject of Modesty.
"Modesty is so much more than your hemlines and the length of your sleeves or depth of your cleavage. Modesty is about thinking about OTHERS much more than we think about OURSELVES. And, as we spend hours and hours of time designing how we look, we are allowing thoughts about ourselves to dominate our energy. Modesty leaves no room for attracting attention to our bodies, or any of our other attributes. Being modest means we have to stop selling ourselves. Just STOP. Instead, we should forget whether or not we are impressing people and focus on the work of the Lord, trying to connect them to their Father in Heaven."1
Even obsessing too much about "dressing modest" can be an act of vanity and be immodest in itself. Of course, At some point a woman has to give some thought about what she wears. But it needs to be knowledgeable thought.
