Abstract

According to the Trinity doctrine, the holy spirit is the third person of a Godhead.

So is the Holy Spirit a third personage? Lets take a look at how the Bible describes the Holy Spirit and answer this question.

The word most frequently used for "spirit" is ru'ach, meaning "breath; wind; spirit." In the Greek Scriptures, the word is pneu'ma, having a similar meaning.
